How to clean your silver jewelry?

Silver jewelry is very pretty but the problem is that when faced with its worst enemies (air, light and bleach, etc.), silver can oxidize or turn black. What to do ? Here are some tips and tricks for cleaning your silver jewelry safely.

For regular cleaning:

– the sweet chamois of course! Use almost daily for maximum shine.

Organic methods:

– Soft method, for the little dark spots of everyday life: soft toothbrush + toothpaste.

GENTLY rub the jewelry. Don't forget to rinse and dry!

The hard method (for the big disaster!):

– 1 sheet of aluminum foil

– 1 tablespoon of baking soda

- boiling water

1 – Line the inside of a bowl with a sheet of aluminum foil.

2 – Boil a pot of hot water.

3 – Place the silver objects (jewelry or other) in the bowl on the shiny side of the aluminum foil.

4 – Sprinkle the jewelry with baking soda then pour in the boiling water.

5 – Let it act.

6 – Remove the objects, rinse them and dry them with a soft cloth.

For jewelry adorned with zirconiums:

Clean them with lukewarm water and dishwashing detergent.

To make it shine, add a few drops of lemon to the dishwashing liquid and gently wipe your jewelry, you will be amazed at the result.

Like diamonds, zirconiums must be cleaned to maintain their original luster. Many factors in our surroundings can dull the shine of these stones: body lotion, perfumes, water (which deposits a thin layer of limestone on the zircons and which affects the shine of the stones) or quite simply, normal daily wear and tear.

How to untangle chain knots:

Your gold or silver chains have knots and you lose your calm trying to untangle them!!!

Don't get upset, place a few drops of olive oil on the affected links. The knots will disappear, no more nervous breakdowns!!!

Little smart tip: Your chains will get tangled less easily if you close them after removing them.
